DARE is a huge project which brings participants through Dublin on an action packed adventure using city streets and amenities. It is also looking at attracting foreign teams to experience Dublin in a novel way and to showcase the city for what it really can provide. It is the perfect 'active weekend away' for those from further afield as well as being a great local adventure race for those who normally have to travel out of Dublin to participate in adventure races.
The most special aspect of DARE is that the course and race format is designed in a way that people of all levels of fitness can compete or take part and experience the fun, excitement and physical challenge in their own way and with their friends or family. People from all walks of life will have the opportunity to abseil from the Aviva Stadium as part of a race that will have them experiencing Dublin in rare and special ways.
DARE is supporting Childline by giving 5 euro from each entry fee towards helping them continue this service which receives no government funding whatsoever. Childline will also be present on the course and will be supported by members of the public as they watch racers take on the capital.
